Beg, Borrow, and Steal……
RB Productions originated in the San Francisco Bay Area circa 1985. Born from
suburban garages and Inspired by Punk and New Wave in the 80’s they were
“called” to the City by an invisible force.
Jamming in motels and crashing on couches with minimal and mostly used equipment
they created music by any means possible. As a result, the production was often
“Raw Bottom.”
Theirs’ was a journey worthy of Rock n’ Roll history and accented by a colorful
cast of characters that often manifested themselves within the music.
Seedy night clubs and art house performances allowed them to share moments and
stages with musicians from all spectrums and corners of the globe. Local
Icons Jefferson Airplane and Santana, World beat Artist Angelique Kidjo, New
Wave Artist Eurythmics, The Underworld, Berlin, Red Hot Chili Peppers,
Rock legends Ian Hunter, Billy Joel, and Soul Great James Brown, to mention a few.
Somehow surviving their tumultuous youth the spirit of experimentation has
created a unique blend of musical expression.
